Physed Rocks!

Welcome to my very own professional and personal website. I hope you will find this website useful and let me know if you were able to use some of the resources during your own day2day lessons.

Some background information:

Born and raised in the Netherlands and a teacher of Physical Health Education for some 19 years now. Although I have taught all year levels from Kindergarten up till 12th grade you will see that my main focus is on the Senior School level (11-18 year old).

I have taught in American and British curriculum but for me the IBO MYP curriculum is central for my day2day teaching.

Schools I have worked in:

Cairo American College, Cairo Egypt

International School of Amsterdam, Amsterdam the Netherlands

Ruamrudee International School, Bangkok Thailand

Bangkok Patana School, Bangkok Thailand

International School of Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf Germany

Munich International School, Germany

I am passionate about integrating IT in Physical Education. I am determined to constantly find new and engaging ways of offering the #physed curriculum to my students. Reflection and asking for feedback are key aspects in my teaching and I am constantly fine-tuning the program.

In 2015 I joined ECIS first as director of social media and communication for the special interest group PE. Currently as chair person for the same special interest group.

Momentarily I am working on a huge research project for Erasmus+ "Movement Improves Learning In Schools aka MILES" together with 5 other schools in Europe we are researching the impact that movement has on our students.
